I always say to my brides enjoy the bridal journey as its one that you will always remember. From the minute I got engaged and I know other brides too, I was all set out to plan plan plan. Magazines bought the next day! When the clock strikes midnight on New years eve that’s it , its your wedding year. Hens dos, bridal fittings, bridesmaids lunches and maybe another hen do…
I say why not go for it , Celebrate everything , When dates are confirmed , your dress arriving, buying your wedding shoes… A wedding organiser is key to plan all the details and of course the dreaded budget. Of course if your getting married on the Island that is Ibiza you must visit to check out your wedding venue and maybe meet your planner. Also any excuse to get away and even more so to Ibiza…
Ibiza is getting so popular each year getting busier and busier with weddings, I can see why this is. The island is so one of a kind. MAGICAL.
Here are a few little tips…
Be in contact with your wedding planner but don’t panic when they don’t respond straight away…
Each day of each month in Ibiza their is a wedding so don’t panic your time will come for all the final planning and attention from your planner
Sun cream and strapless swimsuits or strapless bikini’s you don’t want to look burnt or have tan lines
Follow all your people your using, florists, hairstylists. MUA and more all on social media
Planning and being organized the morning of your wedding makes it more enjoyable
Don’t have your room overcrowded when getting ready the morning of your big day
ENOY it all……..
I cant wait to meet my brides of 2018 UK and Ibiza, its going to be a great year!
The wedding of Charlotte was a beautiful wedding which took place at the stunning Elixlir .
A wedding is always a special day but here in Ibiza its extra special, the sun shines everyone of your guests in holiday mode. What more do you want.. Most weddings are held in the afternoon the bridal preparation is very relaxed and easy going. We normally start around mid day, as most weddings are from 3pm onwards here in Ibiza.
Charlotte and the girls are a gorgeous group of ladies. So it wasn’t difficult to enhance their beauty. Charlotte had been to my salon in the UK for a bridal consultation as belive it or not her dad lives in the same town (small world). We discussed her desired hair look and overall look for her wedding and her bridesmaids.
Charlotte was happy for her bridesmaids to have their hair how they wanted as long as it blended with the overall theme of the wedding. What she did was bought a hair ornament for them all, so even with different hair styles they each had this in place which connected their hair look which I thought was a great idea. Also all bridesmaids where happy as they could have what they felt most comfortable and relaxes with. It was a hot July day so all ladies decided to wear their hair up. A few with braids but all Boho romantic hair looks, One look was a soft simple low knot and yet it looked so effective and elegant. Sometimes less is more. Charlotte had 6 bridesmaids so it was fun for me to create different hair looks for each of them and also to chat to them all. I just loved being a part of it all. A wedding morning is full of emotions, make sure yours is everything you want it to be.
It was a very relaxed morning with the girls having breakfast, chatting and giggling away. They where very happy indeed with a lot of excitement in the air. I believe the bridal preparation is something to look forward to and enjoy so much. Its so fun to get ready with your girly friends and family. As you can see from the pictures the girls did nothing but smile. The girls robes too add to make a perfect picture.
Here are the Gorgeous ladies and their real life princess Bride. I loved the colour scheme too and the difference in the dresses. Three had one style and the other three had the other style. Can we just add to how elegant are their flower corsages on their wrists rather than a bouquet. very cool alternative… Amazing day had by all and thank you for letting me be part of it. Enjoy married life MR & MRS Lewis x
The wedding of Sabrina & Ryan was a gorgeous one and a HOT one for sure!!!
Sabrina travelled all the way from Leeds to come to my salon in the UK for her trial even though we didn’t go for the look of the trial. It was changed a few times over messages which is all good, what we did do was click with each other and build up a relationship, so on the day of her wedding it felt like I was going to do a friends hair.
Sabrina and her family stayed in the Sensatori Hotel which is in the area of Cala Tarida which gets amazing sunsets!! It was a super hot day of the wedding day, and the venue the bride had decided on was Elixir which is just stunning with amazing views!
Sabrina’s look was just divine from the colour scheme to her Shoes!!! Which I course I will include a picture of these babies!!! I loved the soft pink and peaches of the bridesmaids and flower girls dresses. When me and Hannah (my amazing make up artist) arrived Sabrina was glowing excited for her day ahead.. The morning was spent getting ready full of smiles, laughter and her gorgeous daughter, niece and nephew giggling away!! Sabrina’s dress was so Spanish looking with all the lace and her headpiece just sparkled as soon as I seen it! Floral dreams did Sabrina’s flowers and they never disappoint stunning as always!
All the wedding party worn their hair up as I said it was a super hot day! The bridesmaids went for boho fish tails braid’s up do and Sabrina went for a soft romantic up do with height to showcase her headpiece… The Make up was very natural with lots of warm tones…. When we left the room their was a massive buzz in the air, Sabrina was about to marry her prince and she was beaming! Already looking beautiful before even putting her dress on! That’s the thing with wedding’s I love my job working with ladies on their most special day you absorb all the positive energy and their was a definately a lot of this going on this day! As you can see in the pictures below Sabrina was a real life princess
Thankyou for letting me and Hannah be part of your special day and all the best to you and your husband Ryan. Here is a life of health and happinesss and many more trips to IBIZA!!

So the summer has arrived roads are busy beaches are full, yes IBIZA is well and truly open for season 2016!
Each year it still takes a bit to getting used to this island as it really is two different places come Summer to Winter! Which do I prefer people ask, this alone is the reason I LOVE Ibiza! As its like you live in two different places! Keeps life exciting!
So my first bride of the season arrived the beautiful Hayley. Hayley married at Cas Mila which we know I have a massive soft spot for being my wedding venue too! When I arrived the bride and bridesmaids looked gorgeous already without hair and make up done! The morning was very relaxed with everyone getting ready and stunning views from the hotel overlooking the mesmerizing mediterranean sea!
Hayley had a soft undo with height on top she wanted it to look natural as well as classy. The bridesmaids went for soft waves and half up to complement their dresses. As you can see she is gorgeous so wasn’t difficult to make this bride look good! I loved her dress and her bridesmaids soft pastel pink dresses seeing a lot of this colour this year, looks perfect over here in the sunshine! I just love the atmosphere build up when everyone putting their dresses on. You could feel the excitement in the room!
As you can see from the photos below the bride really did look stunning! Loved her look! Even them earrings! It was a pleasure being part of your day Hayley and congratulations to you and your husband on your future together! The bride said it was such a amazing day with so many happy memories! Life is about creating these times!
Now cant wait to meet all my other brides this season! Ibiza really is the place to get married its where your dreams become reality!
Hello its been at least 6 months since I last blogged and that is due to me becoming a mummy to my baby boy Francisco Jose Tulip who has stole my heart!
I feel like I am turning a corner getting to 6 months I can now breath again and getting a bit more sleep which helps!! Have a new body as in still carrying Francisco’s home around with me so that’s something I still need to deal with! ha. But oh my, no one could have told me how I would feel about this little boy of mine! Too much LOVE….
But on to the subject of work, I will be returning in MAY . In preparation I am launching my new website which I have been working on with the very patience Andy from Southport web design! I am bringing to the Island the latest treatment OLAPLEX which I will blog about in the next few weeks ……. Watch this space its amazing!!!!
Also look forward to meeting all my brides to be for 2016 and what ever else Ibiza brings my way!
I know we are half way through September and I am writing this but I am just loving this time of year even though I am due to give birth one week today!!
August is a crazy month here in Ibiza its sooooo busy and so HOT through the airport alone it hit a new record of 1,300,505 passengers caught flights! Which is up 2.3% on last year!
This August and beginning of September we have had bad storms and not good weather for a fair few weeks on and off. Which is strange for this time of year we often have the odd bad week but this seemed to go on a little longer.
I felt so sorry for two of my brides, especially one. When we where all getting the bride ready the thunder was literally nearly shaking the apartments we where in! Thankfully the sun came out shining for her on her special day and can I say she looked amazing! Lauren and her bridal party where all gorgeous girls with lovely hair, so good to work with, maybe some wasn’t there own but shhhhhhh. Each bridesmaids had a slighty different look but kept to the theme of soft curls and waves! With bridesmaids some brides like them to have the same style this can be quite difficult at times if you have bridesmaids with different hair styles, but I always think as long as they blend together and your bridesmaids feel comfortable and happy, it will look perfect for the pictures. Lauren the bride is stunning! The bride wanted half up and down with soft curls and height on top and it fitted perfect with her gorgeous dress! She is just beaming on all the pictures I have seen and looks radiant! Lauren married at Exlir shore club in Cala Traida Ibiza. A amazing venue..Thank you for letting me be part of your day!
Here are a few pictures of the bride and her bridal party!
So then arrives September with cooler temperatures and again a few storms but now we have perfect sunshine, glorious weather. The beaches are busy again and the tourists are happy as our we who live here as the temperature is just nice! I am hoping that the sunshine will keep its hat on through out of October now due to the bad weather we have had!
I am on maternity leave now awaiting for our baby boy to arrive with a mixer of feelings but of course the excitement to meet him being the main one!!! I am having the baby here in Ibiza so I await the arrival of my little Senior Tulip!
I Just want to take this opportunity to Thank all my brides of 2015 and look forward to being part of my 2016 brides special days! Its my one year wedding anniversary this month! I cant believe it has been a whole year when all my dreams of my wedding day came true!! I still look at all you brides to be with a bit of envy as it truly is the most magical day ever!!!!
Rebecca got married in the beautiful Cas Mila a favourite of mine as that was of course my wedding too!
I first met Becki as she let me call her the week before her wedding for her bridal hair trial, she is a gorgeous girl inside and out and has the most fabulous long hair , perfect to work with. Me and Becki sat and discussed her look she was wanting or her big day and what she was wearing in her hair. She also showed me her dress I just said WOW. Becki works for Kevin Jon who is a ladies clothes designer am sure you have heard of him, if not check it out.. his dresses are beautiful and so feminine. Him and Becki and their team had designed and made her wedding dress so it was unique for her. As you can see on the pictures coming it really was breathtaking and suited Becki’s slim figure. The hair trial went well and the bride was happy with her hair. She was going to Ibiza rocks that night to swish it about.
Arriving on the wedding day, what a gorgeous summers Ibiza day it was. Arriving the bride seemed content and excited and was a pleasure working for. The look for the brides hair was a soft romantic curl, we pre pin-curled the hair and left it to set as Becki’s had her make up done by the fabulous Hannah. I work a lot with Hannah she is very talented make up artist and in the winter time works in Manchester in Bobby Brown so she is always keeping her skills up to date. When I took her hair out of the pins unravelling the curls and individualising them all, I then dressed it out giving Becki some height above her crown for her veil to sit underneath. Bit of back combing ladies is a must!
Once the veil was fitted me and Hannah left for the bride to get ready in peace. Becki sent me the pictures just recently and they took my breath away. Which were took by Ana Lui Studio by Iva. She just looked stunning like I knew she would her hubby scrubs up well too 🙂
All the best to you both for the future and maybe see you again in Ibiza!
Bridal season is definitely here and so are the Hot temperatures. The last Blog I wrote I was returning to the UK for my last visit at my salon along with two baby showers and my gorgeous Nephews christening 🙂 My last visit to salon was a very busy one I was fully booked with all my long standing clients plus lots of little bits to do, but I really enjoyed it , I am so lucky with clientele and the staff at The Salon each of them with their own personalities and characters make the salon what it is.
Back to the island it was all about weddings and of course the HEAT! I did love being cosy in UK snuggling into a duvet in bed and being able to walk round the shops without sweating, granted though I was still wet with the rain! Good old blighty! Here in Ibiza when I returned it seemed to be even hotter than before with my father in law here telling me its defiantly the hottest summer we have had in the past few years so it’s not just me and my pregnancy sweats!! Not that I am moaning honest am still smiling!
Each year I am here I work at new venues across the island this year I had the pleasure of working on Katie’s wedding in the stunning Can Gall and what wedding venue that is! A typical Ibizan country house which is over 200 years old in the north of the island. As you can see from the pictures below Katie was a stunning bride and her bridal party and so lovely to work for, the morning getting ready was filled with lots of smiles and laughter and you could feel the excitement in the air! Most organised mornings run smoother with room for all the bridal party to have their hair and make up done and this venue certainly had this.
Katie was calm and relaxed and you could see the happiness in her face! She looked beautiful before she even put her stunning dress on! I would like to wish you both a future filled with happiness and returns to Ibiza so I can do your gorgeous hair again!
Ibiza really is the place to get married and seems to be getting more poplular each year I have been talking to brides for 2016 which will soon be here! I can definitely see why people choose to marry here I did! ha.
I only have a few more weddings now this season as I go on maternity leave end of August but the brides are beautiful so looking forward to working on them!
